Equal rights

So today, by sitting on a comfortable chair in a calm atmosphere, like my classmates, I’m going to write about revival of Pakistan with its dignity. I’m not going to tell you about the problems which Pakistan has faced and is facing because they all are quite transparent now. We are aware of our Politician’s acts and we are also aware of the fact that today mothers are selling their children to extinguish the fire of hunger. We are quite familiar with lack of education, women abuse, crime rates and by accumulating all these; we are aware of that how rights of every individual has become a joke to every citizen of Pakistan.
There are no complex reasons or factors behind our country’s destruction it’s just our thinking. Now the word “just” sounds too small but here’s the real problem, we can’t think or do different because our parents and culture said so, a girl can’t speak in front of her father, brother and husband because it’s a male dominant society, a man couldn’t trust his talent because in this society references work and a unborn baby couldn’t trust the parents because he/she doesn’t know if he/she will live or not. We can change people thinking male dominance by making them educated so that they can come to know about the importance of equal role. We cannot run a successful and powerful country only by male power we also need women to work with men and make a prosperous country.
To be very honest I haven’t done anything great for this country but still I’m a proud citizen because I’ve a different thinking, I believe in giving rights and getting my rights in return without any barrier or mistrust. It’s easy to write or talk about these things but it takes real courage to act upon it so that even Pakistan could proud of you.

  2. -well in my opinion women should have equal rights but in Pakistan this will not be easy job to do cause our elders have strong values that excess of freedom is not good for women n its from the beginning of our ancestors so this could not be changed

  6. Yeah its the time to change our thoughts now. I liked the article because its something different written, its not just blaming others. Its about changing our own selves. Women should have equal rights. But there is a major factor, that women destroy stuff when they are dominant and majority cannot handle situations when they have pressures and tensions. They are mostly associated with feelings and their decisions are usually based on feeling and emotions aswell. But i do agree that they should have their rights and they should be given opportunities to speak for their rights which majority women in our country does not have.

  8. An article well written...i would like to add that times change. Like the horses of the past turned into jets of the present, People, especially our elders and people who are still clinging on to old beliefs, need to see that the need of the hour is not just harsh or bold judgement from the part of the male, but a hybrid decision consisting of both male and female consensus.many males think it as a humiliation to have a woman make a decision but people need to change that old fashioned view. nice article. good work

  9. good article indeed but the writer is just bit out dated cause i being a girl am studying and my sisters and other family members are working and they do have equal rights / opportunities. only thing i will suggest the writer to start implementing these things in ur family and your home cause the changes dont occur by talking or they dont happen over night every one has to start somewhere hence ur home and you will see the difference in the nation.

  11. A minor change is taking place in our society but it is not enough for the revival of our country, the men need to accept the fact that women also have the ability and courage to work and serve on a professional level. Only then women could get their rights and a respectable status in society.

  17. awareness among women has become a common issue today, and its due to people like you and us that women have actually started to consider themselves an important part of a society! I'd say its a good effort and keep that spirit alive among young girls and our society by doing and writing stuff like this.

  20. Hey, you may be right that we have a male dominant society in many Asian countries including Pakistan, but I guess this concept is fading away. you mentioned about the politicians in the article, now many of the governmental posts are being run by women and unfortunately they are EQUALLY involved in corruption which is having an adverse effect on our country. Politicians tend to be corrupt, be it a man or be it a women.
but at the same time there are some women who are working for our country, like by running NGOs and all. but as one black sheep ruins the whole flock, it gives birth to a perception that If one women is involved in corruption, all will tend to do so.
so we need to identify the core problem which is leading to all these indecent situations.

  21. People are people, this is not a gender issue. It is about every human being having strengths and weaknesses which society should learn to appreciate and enforce for the good of the appreciated person and for the good of us as his neighbours. We need a society that can transform ability into values, into movement.
